A shooting at a Pennsylvania mall left several people injured and shoppers scrambling for safety Sunday afternoon.
Gunshots rang out at the Park City Center in Lancaster around 2:30 p.m., according to police scanners and Lancaster Online.
Two people suffered gunshot wounds and two suspects were in custody, according to police and the website, which said the injuries were not life-threatening.
An argument broke out between four people outside an international food store, the owner of the store told the outlet. One man brandished a gun during a scuffle, and it was knocked away by a man who then opened fire, according to the report.
“Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!,” a panicked witness could be heard screaming after two gunshots were audibly heard on a blurry Twitter video apparently taken inside the mall.
The clip, entitled “Shooting at our local mall today,” showed a woman falling to the floor in a mall corridor as frantic shoppers beelined to safety.
Lindsay Kahn, spokeswoman for Brookfield Property Partners, which owns the mall, told the local outlet the incident was “unfortunate” and “isolated.”
The mall will remain closed until Monday so the investigation can continue, police said.
